Wing (“the app”) provides message analysis and screenshot-based conversation insights. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 User-Initiated Content

We only collect content you explicitly choose to provide:

  • Screenshots: When you upload a conversation screenshot for analysis.
  • Message Text: When you paste or type text into the Pre-Send Check tool.
  • Feedback: Optional text comments or ratings you submit.

We do not automatically read or monitor messages, screens, or keyboard input.

2. Technical & Usage Data

To operate and improve the app, we collect:

  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Approximate region/country
  • Anonymous identifiers (session or installation IDs)
  • Feature usage events (e.g., which tools were used, success/failure states)
  • Basic diagnostic information (e.g., error events)

We do not collect precise GPS location.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data you provide to:

  • Process screenshots and message text using AI to deliver analysis and rewriting suggestions
  • Improve app performance and reliability
  • Understand how features are used
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse
  • Respond to user feedback

We do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. How Data Is Processed and Stored

4.1 AI Processing (External Service)

When you request an analysis, screenshots or text you provide are sent to our AI processing provider to generate responses.

4.2 App Database (Supabase or Similar)

For analytics, we store:

  • Anonymous identifiers
  • Device/app information
  • Region/country
  • Usage event logs
  • User-submitted feedback

We do not store your full message content or AI rewrite outputs; these fields are stored as redacted placeholders.

4.3 Local Storage

The app stores locally:

  • User settings (region, preferences)
  • Onboarding completion state
  • API keys or sensitive credentials stored securely via the system Keychain

We do not store or access any personal content without your direct action.

5. Legal Basis (If Required by Region)

Where applicable, we process your data based on:

  • Your consent (uploading screenshots or entering text)
  • Our legitimate interest in operating and improving the app

6. Data Retention

We retain analytics data only as long as needed for app functionality and security.

We do not retain your full message content.

7. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

  • Infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, analytics, AI processing)

We do not sell your data.

8. Your Choices

  • You can decline to upload screenshots or enter text.
  • You can uninstall the app at any time to stop further data collection.
  • If we introduce accounts in the future, we will provide data export and deletion options and update this policy.
